Praying

William loves to sing his prayer at dinner time. During this recording he was a bit distracted due to the french fries he was allowed....they are a real delicacy around here. You will get the idea of his "singing," but please pardon my vocal ability.

Boys Afternoon Out

Scoping out the model trains
Grandpa and William (notice how focused William is on the trains)

Ski ball anyone?

Who is going to buy me one of these when I am old enough?

Holding Daddy's hand

This afternoon William, Aaron, and Grandpa went to K-10 Model
Train Showroom. William is now even more crazy about trains. When they got home he kept telling me, "model train store mommy, go."
After seeing the model trains, he got his first chance to play in an arcade while Grandpa and Daddy waited for pizza. He wanted to climb on and in every car, train, motorcycle, etc. As you will see from the video, he was not too sure about the train once it started moving.

Christmas Day

We gave my grandfather molasses puffs and he shared them with William. I was surprised by the fact that William loved it.

William and my cousin's son Joshua playing

We spent Christmas Day with my side of the family. We went to my parent's house and then over to my grandparent's. William had so much fun and loved all of the presents, or "pre-pre" as he says. When he woke up the morning after Christmas the first thing he said to me was, "more pre-pre, mommy." I think we are going to have to make sure he doesn't get too spoiled.

Christmas at Home

Here are a few pictures from Christmas morning. He was very excited to open the little packages because he realized that most of them were trains or cars. I am not sure where we are going to find room for all of his trains, but for now he is happy to have them all over his train table.

Christmas Eve

Watching Pop's train
Saying, "Hi, Engine, Coal Car, Freight Car, Caboose" as each one goes by

Riding his trike

He picked this one up on his own....it is almost as tall as he is

We spent Christmas Eve with Aaron's family. Pop, Deedee, Aunt Claire, Great Grandma Rene, and Great Uncle Paul made William one happy little boy. He loved to watch Pop's train go around the Christmas tree and kept saying "All Aboard." He got so many wonderful gifts, and was so excited he started opening other peoples.

Freddie

Here is a little of video of William playing with his train table. He likes to build long trains, as you will hear him say. Today he was searching for Freddie, the newest engine in his collection.

A Boy and his Snowman???

Notice the little snowman standing guard

William loves snowmen. He now plays with a little snowman that my Aunt Char gave him when he was just a newborn. The little snowman reads with him, and apparently stands guard while he is sleeping.

Dog Treats

I normally bake dog treats this time of year for our dog friends. I also include the humans in my baking, but William was way more excited to help with the dog treats. He kept saying, "doctor dog treat." I think he must remember his conversation with the pediatrician about her dogs and giving them treats...who knows? He is still saying "doctor, dog treat" two days later.
The treats we made are salmon, sesame, and parsley. Let me just say, my house still smells like fish.

Christmas Past

Christmas 2007
The great grandkids 2007: William, Joshua, Holly, and Tess

Christmas 2006

It is hard to believe that this is William's third Christmas. Christmas 2006 he had just started smiling a lot. On Christmas night 2007, he started walking. I am putting a video on from the morning after Christmas 2007. I can't believe how he walked! It's amazing how much he has changed. Now he tells us that "Santa Claus brings blue car, train, big trucks."
Here is a video of William walking on December 26, 2007.

Potty Training Advancements

William has been doing a great job at potty training for a little while now, so we have switched the reward system. He now gets a reward at the end of the day for staying dry. I am very happy to say that today he only needed one Pull-up. He stayed dry this morning for the babysitter, and all afternoon and evening for Aaron and I. I wonder if he knew I had bought mini cupcakes for his reward...hmmm?

Wii Sports

Aaron has now introduced William to the Wii. He loves playing baseball with his daddy. Here is a short video of one of William's first "games."

Poinsettia

We stopped by Grammy and Grandpa's the other night, so they could give us a beautiful poinsettia. William was definitely interested in it, so I will have to put it far away from his little hands.

Sleep, or lack there of

This week William has had a hard time falling asleep. I am guessing it has been because his two year molars are coming in on the bottom. After about 1 1/2 hours of playing in his crib, this is how he looked. I am certain he will be disappointed to know these pictures were public, when he hits about 13.

Guitar

William loves playing with one of Aaron's guitars. He has learned how to use the pick, and almost anytime we are in the basement he plays it for at least a little while.

Blueberries

William has always loved blueberries. His passion has now been documented on film.

Party in the crib

For the past several nights, William has taken 1 - 2 hours to settle down to sleep. It normally takes no time at all. After he finally went to sleep, I wanted to see what he had been doing. I found him in the middle of his crib sideways with his animals surrounding him. He had also removed his socks. He was having a great time apparently!

William and Topper

Before
After (as Topper makes his escape)

Topper is our patient dog, but sometimes even his patience runs out. William thought it would be fun to take a ride on Topper similar to his ride-on toys....Topper had another idea.

Wild Lights

We took William to Wild Lights at the zoo tonight. He loved all of the lights, and really wished the trains were running. After he realized most of the animals and the trains were sleeping, he got a kick out of looking at all of the different lights.

Miss Angie and the boys

William has the BEST babysitter in the world! Since she is such a huge part of his life, I wanted to document her and the other boys.

Notice the weather stripping hanging from the garage door

This morning I was rushing to get William to the babysitters. In my haste, I gracefully rammed my car into the garage door as it was going up. I will shorten the story by saying both the rear windshield and our garage door need repair. William just kept saying, "boo-boo, mommy car." Then he said to me, "it okay mommy." He is right, it is okay. In the grand scheme of things, this is a pretty small problem to have.
