Thank You, DeeDee

 

I had to spend the night in Detroit this week for work. DeeDee came to stay overnight while I was away. William loved getting to play with her, and I know Aaron appreciated all of the help with Emmie.

2 Months Old

 

 

Emmie's 2 month stats:
Weight- 10lbs 8ozs (50th percentile)
Length- 22.5 inches (50th percentile)
Head circumference - 15.5 (between the 50 - 75th percentile)

Emmie is cooing and smiling more and more these days. We love watching her interact with William. The outfit she is wearing in the pictures is from our friend Beth...it's Emmie's first tennis skirt.

Halloween in July

 

 

 

William wanted to wear his Spiderman costume today. He decided to wear the mask for much longer than he did last Halloween.

Bedtime Shenanigans

 

 

 

 

William finds anything to delay bedtime. Tonight he wanted Emmie to try out his William chair.

Emmie was 8 weeks old today. She looks SO big now.

I had William pose in his astronaut pj's. As you can tell, he is quite the ham.

Lullabies

Tonight while I was singing to William at bedtime he said, "Mommy, I love all the songs you sing to me." He has also started singing along as I sing. I want to make note of the songs that I sing, so one day he will still remember them. I sing Beautiful Boy, Sweet Dreams, You Are My Sunshine, Maggie (an old Irish song and I change the name to William), and Too Ra Loo Ral

I'm back at work now, and the kids are home with Aaron. Here are some pictures from their first day.

Best Big Brother

 

William loves his baby sister. The other day our neighbor asked him what he thought about being a big brother. His response, "I love it!"

Mesmerized

 

 

 

 

What is it about ceiling fans that captures a baby's attention? It makes for a great opportunity to take a few pictures of how big Emmie is getting. Her outfit is from our neighbors the Heisers...complete with her first pair of shoes.

Bathing Beauty

 

 

We got William's pool out today for him to play. I figured it would be a good idea to put Emmie in her first swimming suit. The water was too cold to put her feet in, but William got a kick out of her being in a suit and sunglasses.

Happy 4th

 

 

 

Tonight we took William to see the fireworks in Troy. He loved the show,and at one point said, "that is the biggest firework in the world." He also asked if God makes the fireworks show. We didn't bring Emmie with us. She is still a little young for the loud sounds associated with fireworks. We can't wait to bring her along next year.

Look Who's Smiling

 

Emmie started smiling on tuesday. We managed to catch one on film tonight.
