We spent today celebrating Daddy and DeeDee's birthdays and Easter. It was a beautiful day and the kids got to enjoy an Easter egg hunt and a new little dog that Rick and Debbie are taking care of.
The past four and a half years have been so much fun, and it is hard for me to believe that William is already 4.5. He has the biggest heart, and a great gift for communication. I can only imagine what the next 4.5 years will bring for us. I am certain he will only get smarter and sweeter.
While Emmie napped today, William and I "hunted" for pet grasshoppers. He patientely sat on his bench with his net for a quite a while. Our mission was successful, and we kept our pet grasshopper for a week before we let it go.
William has started fishing a lot with Grandpa and Daddy. On his first trip out with grandpa he caught 11 fish at our friend Ken's pond. He really enjoys it, and clearly does not get his fishing skills from me. The last time I went fishing, at a trout farm mind you, I caught a few rocks and sticks. I better brush up on my fishing skills if I'm going to keep up with him.
