Bedtime Story

Posted by Picasa
William decided he was going to read his bedtime story to me tonight...along with several of his "friends." This is how he had to set it up before the story began.

My Little Spiderman

Posted by Picasa
William loves to climb and jump these days. He is really starting to outgrow his Kangaroo Climber. He now holds himself up over the slide and broad jumps from the steps....I think he needs something a little more challenging.

Here is William gearing up for the Mizzou game, and practicing his tennis/baseball skills.

Bubble Bath

William has never had a bubble bath, so we decided it was about time. He is rather resistant to bathing these days, but the novelty of a bubble bath seemed to do the trick.

Playdate with Sarah

Posted by Picasa
William and I went to the park with his godmother Sarah. He had so much fun, and I am pretty certain he wore Sarah out. They had slide races and Sarah played underdog with William on the swing. By the end of our trip, William was in love with Sarah. When she left he got really sad, and said "now I never get to play with Sarah."

Eckert's Apple Picking

Mia, Paul, Davi and Val

Are they the sweetest or what

We headed to Eckert's Farm to pick apples with the Heisers today. The kids had an absolute blast. We picked apples, rode a tractor (both real and stationary), fed animals, rode horses, played in bounce houses, etc....
This was William's third trip to Eckert's and he really has a great time. You can check out everything they offer at www.eckerts.com We will be back next month for pumpkins.

It had been nearly a week since William had seen his "girlfriends." I'm glad we had such a beautiful evening to let them play.

Spiderman Pajamas

Motorcylce Spiderman

Maestro Spiderman

Tonight William got to wear his Spiderman pajamas, or as he called them "my spiderman outfit." He loved the web wings and was jumping off just about anything he could find in the basement. He is really into superheroes and pretend play. He likes to tell us which superhero we are as of late; I am "woman-woman (wonder woman)" and Aaron is the Hulk.

LONG Weekend

Posted by Picasa
I did not take a single picture this holiday weekend until last night after William passed out in my arms at 7pm. This weekend was full of fun for William and his parents. Saturday morning we dropped William off with Pop and DeeDee. They had a fun itinerary planned for him. It included a trip to Bounce U and Target on saturday. On Sunday, they went to the Wabash railroad to ride a real train. William had such a good time. Once we get pictures from DeeDee, I will try to post them.

Dog Towel

"Really, Daddy....stop taking my picture."
Posted by Picasa
William has always liked his hooded bath towels, but he now doesn't want to take it off. The other day Aaron followed him around to take his picture in his towel. As you can see, William got a little fed up with the photography session.

Where's your smile?

For the past several nights at bedtime, William will ask me, "Mommy, are you happy?" I always reply, "Yes, I'm happy." Then he asks, "Where's your smile?"

I didn't realize how hard it is to smile while you sing...I guess I need to learn that skill.

This conversation led to him asking me to make my sad face, surprised face, and mad face. Apparently my mad face was not an accurate portrayal of my real mad face. I made my mad face and William said, "No, that's not it." I tried again....William said, "No, that's not it, Mommy. Make your eyes mad."

When You Give Your Child a Marker

Posted by Picasa
On the way home from the sitters, William asked to play with a dry erase book. He is pretty good at keeping his markers on the page, but I guess over bumps in the road it was hard to keep from drawing on his knees and hands. We had an appointment to get his hair cut soon after we got home, so there was no time for a bath. This is how he ended up in the kitchen sink...he loved it! I am a little afraid that he is going to want to take a bath in the sink all of the time.

Playtime

Posted by Picasa
Tonight Val and Paul had to go to a Parent Open House at Mia's school, so we watched the girls for a couple of hours. Mia started kindergarten this year, and she seems to be doing great. The kids had a blast, and Aaron and I determined we are very glad we don't have 3 kids 5 and under.

Trucks and Cars

Posted by Picasa
William loves just about anything with wheels. I would bet that the majority of his play time is spent with cars, trucks, motorcycles, or construction vehicles. He is especially fond of the hauler in these pictures.
