The Park with Jeremy

William and Aaron headed to Glik park today and met up with our friend Jenny and her little boy Jeremy. From the pictures, it looks like they had a lot of fun.

Come Home

William is pining for his friends, or as he says "girlfriends", Mia and Davi. They have been on vacation since last friday. Today he went to play in their backyard to get over his longing.

Silly Song

Speak No Evil
Hear No Evil
See No Evil

I realize these are in reverse order, but it is how the pictures posted. For some reason yesterday, William kept covering his eyes, nose, and mouth. He was singing a song that they must sing at the sitters. It talks about all the parts of the face.

WORKERS!!!!!

For those of you that don't know, I have a slight addition to Quiktrip iced tea. Yesterday, William went along with me to get my tea, and we saw a leaf bug on our way into the store. He was very concerned about the bug and wanted to tell the workers to "kill it."

As we walked into the gas station, he screamed "Workers!"

Everyone looked at us. Luckily there was a worker right by us and he told her to "Go kill that leaf bug. He bites." We had a lengthy discussion on the way home about nice bugs, and not screaming in public....HA!

Out of The Mouths of Babes

When we were walking through the Sam's parking lot on Saturday, a rather large woman was walking towards us. William said, "It's a giant. Look out, Mommy." I really hope she didn't hear him, but I'm secretly glad I did. It was just so funny.

Yesterday, my mom and I took William to a new clothing store in town. William told me he was looking for "giant clothes." What is with this kid and giants...I'm just glad he hasn't called me a giant (yet).

I don't want to forget that:
  • He calls mosquitoes "bugsquitoes"
  • It is funny to him that the sun hides behind the clouds
  • He told me he was holding the stars in his hands and he would throw them in the sky

Is He Deprived?

It almost looks like he is licking his lips

Don't drop them!!!!!

While we were at Sam's today, William spotted the row of potato chips. We do not normally keep potato chips in the house, as we are trying to reduce our waistlines. Apparently, this summer at Miss Angie's house the boys have been getting potato chips when they have picnic lunches. William LOVES them, so much so, that he sprinted towards the row of chips and quickly hugged the biggest bag of Lays he could find. The lady doing the demo near the chip aisle was cracking up, and so were we.

Saturday Shopping

We headed to Fairview Heights today to run a bunch of errands. One of our stops was at Toys R Us to pick out a birthday present for Mia's 5th. William had a lot of fun "riding" this fire truck...even if it had an out of order sign.

Little Fish

William's body suit....he calls it his "super hero muscle suit"
Posted by Picasa
William is loving the summer. He wants to swim all of the time, but it has been a little cold lately for that. He is still a little unsure about putting his face under, but I predict he will be a pro at it by the end of the summer. His body suit has given him a little more confidence because it helps him with buoyancy.

Watermelon

Posted by Picasa
William is enjoying all of the fruit and veggies that go along with summer. He is really excited about watermelon and broccoli. The other night (well, morning) he woke up at 5 a.m. He was crying, so I went in and he said: "Mommy, my tummy hurts. It's hungry. I need broccoli."
That day he had broccoli with his breakfast, lunch, and snack.

Dirt Shirt

When William was about 19 months, Rick and Debbie gave him and Aaron matching Dirt Shirts. They brought them back from their trip to Arizona. Even though it was the smallest size, William did not fit into the shirt when he received it....now he does. He was excited to show off the fact that he is a big boy now.

William found a cobweb in the garage and decided to "take care of it, Mommy." He is starting to become quite the little helper.

Say What?

Last night, William cried out at 12:45 a.m. This is a rare occurrence these days. After a few minutes of him crying for me, I went to him. I asked him what was wrong and he said, "Mommy, I need to go to Target."

I knew he loved Target, but this is a little excessive.

Gymnastics Class

Posted by Picasa
We enrolled William in the Explorers class at the YMCA. It is a 30 minute independent class, where the kiddos have the freedom to do just about anything in the gym. William is especially fond of the trampoline and the foam pit. Today he kept running to the window and asking me if I could come jump with him.

Testing, testing, 1-2-3

Aunt Claire came by today to borrow Daddy's amp and microphones. While Aaron was checking them out, William had to get in on the fun.
Here is William's hard rock version of Take Me Out to the Ballgame.

Thumbs Up

At bedtime tonight, William requested the song Beautiful Boy, for some reason he loves this song. For the past month or so, he has not wanted me to sing anything else. As I was singing, he looked at me and put his thumbs up and said, "Two thumbs up, Mommy." I smiled at him because it was so sweet and he said, "You happy, Mommy." I will try to get a picture of him putting his thumbs up to add to this post.
