We were so excited to finally get home. William was so relieved to have Emmie and I home that at 4:30 he asked for his binki, crawled into my lap and was asleep in 30 seconds or less.

Painting a Bulldozer

Posted by Picasa
William received a wooden bulldozer kit as part of his goody bag at Davi's birthday party yesterday. Aaron and William glued the truck together this morning, and then William's favorite part happened this afternoon when he got to paint it.

Front Page News

William made the front page of the Edwardsville Intelligencer. On Saturday, Aaron was building the swing set and I was helping with a yard sale, so my parents took him to the farmer's market. While they were at the market, a photographer from the local paper snapped this photo. He was picking out a handmade soap to give me for Mother's Day. He picked a great one! You can see the picture better if you follow this link: http://www.theintelligencer.com/articles/2010/05/10/local_news/doc4be82c893b3df703551702.txt

Water Colors

William got busy painting this afternoon when we got home from Miss Angie's. I love the fact that he understands how to clean his brush between colors now. He now uses almost every color on his pictures.

A Mother's Day Turtle

William and Granddaddy check out the turtle
Posted by Picasa
We spent a part of the day at my parent's house to celebrate Mother's Day. Grandpa found a turtle in the yard. William was very excited to feed it celery and chase the poor creature. I've never seen a turtle move that fast.

Pure Bliss

Aaron and I had a realization tonight....it doesn't get much better than being a 3 and a half year old. Aaron was done with 2 of his 3 finals this evening, so he was able to be home for bedtime. William was already so excited to see Daddy for the first time in a few days that the added Sonic slush for his sore throat was probably not necessary.
At one point in the night, he was posing and saying, "I'm rock. I'm a statue." He is such a little entertainer.

Is that William or a Triceratops?

Posted by Picasa
I apologize for the blurry picture, but I only had my phone with me. This afternoon William was eating carrots while waiting for dinner to be ready. He then decided he would eat them like a triceratops. As you can see, his fingers are two of the horns on his head, and he then had to eat the carrots off the plate using only his mouth.
I just now realized that every meal today consisted of some discussion of dinosaurs. For breakfast he had dinosaur egg oatmeal, which is by Quaker, in case you have a dino fan in your house. At lunch, he would eat his taco and say that was a carnivore bite and then eat a grape and tell me it was a herbivore bite.

Leaf Blower

Grandpa shows William the ropes with the leaf blower

Look out, Grandpa! He's a quick learner.

This weekend was a Mommy and William weekend. Aaron has two final exams tomorrow (monday), so William and I have been filling our time with lots of fun activities. My parent's invited the two of us over for dinner tonight, and William got some bonus fun when Grandpa showed him how to use the leaf blower.
